This spirit of togetherness recently came to life through a donation drive led by Neo Energy employees, who contributed gently used women’s clothing to Rumah Faye, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protect Indonesian children from violence, exploitation, and trafficking.
Rumah Faye operates a shelter that currently supports girls between the ages of 10 and 18, with the flexibility to assist younger children or emergency cases when needed. Their work focuses on protecting girls referred by authorities, including the police and government institutions.
The shelter provides temporary safe accommodation for children who require protection, with occupancy adjusted based on urgency and assessed risk. Each case is carefully assessed. When going home is not safe for a child after their time in shelter, Rumah Faye works closely with local authorities to find a secure alternative place to live—one that prioritizes the child’s safety, stability, and best interests.
The organization’s rehabilitation approach goes far beyond providing a temporary refuge. Girls receive psychosocial support, individual counseling, educational assistance, and regular health checks to assess physical and emotional wellbeing. They also join empowerment activities, including craft workshops and skills training, designed to restore confidence and create future possibilities.
Even after reintegration, Rumah Faye continues to monitor each child for up to six months, ensuring they remain safe, supported, and surrounded by a nurturing environment. Families also receive psychological and economic support, recognizing that healing extends beyond the individual to the household.
The items donated by Neo Energy employees, specifically clothing for girls and women, play a meaningful role in supporting the daily needs of the girls at Rumah Faye. For many of the girls, receiving proper clothing helps restore a sense of normalcy, comfort, and dignity during a vulnerable chapter in their lives.
According to Rumah Faye’s management, contributions like these help the shelter maintain a warm, home-like environment where the children feel safe enough to learn, heal, and rebuild their confidence. The donated clothing also supports the psychosocial activities carried out at the shelter, helping the girls participate in daily routines with comfort and security.
